There is no call centre here and no booking desk. A message about your car reaches the person who arranges the journey — someone who knows what a gravel drive, a low front splitter and a Channel sailing actually involve.
Call, message or email, whichever suits you. If you would rather see a number before you speak to anybody, the estimator will give you one in about a minute.
What helps us answer properly
You are welcome to send nothing more than a sentence, and we will ask the rest. But if you already know these, the first reply can be a real answer rather than a list of questions:
- The car. Make, model and rough year. It decides which trailer, which straps and how much clearance we need at the ramp.
- Both postcodes. Collection and delivery. Postcodes are enough — exact addresses can wait until you have decided to go ahead.
- Roughly when. A date, a week, or simply "as soon as it can be done".
- Does it run and steer? A non-runner is not a problem — the enclosed trailer has a winch and a tilt bed — but it changes how long the loading takes and it is much better known in advance than discovered on the driveway.
- Anything awkward about access. A narrow lane, a gated entrance, a multi-storey car park, a farm track, a height barrier. Nobody has ever regretted mentioning one of these early.
If the move is unusual in some other way, say so. Unusual is often the reason people call a single-vehicle operator rather than a marketplace.
Price it yourself first, if you prefer
The estimator on the homepage asks for two locations, a date and whether the car is coming back. It returns an indicative figure for both the open and the enclosed trailer, side by side, for journeys inside Britain, to the islands that need a ferry, and across Europe.
It is an indication, not an offer. A price becomes firm only once we have confirmed it in writing for your car, your dates and your two addresses — which is the point at which the details above start to matter.
Where SKORTA works from
SKORTA is based in Reading, Berkshire, and works door to door from there — across the whole of the UK and into Europe. There is no depot and no yard, because there is nothing to store: your car is collected, carried and delivered on the same journey, and it does not change hands on the way.
That also means there is no showroom to visit. Everything is arranged by phone, WhatsApp or email, and the first time you meet the trailer is when it arrives for your car.
Booking and notice
Short-notice transport may be available. Earlier booking is recommended where possible, particularly around the ends of months, bank holidays and the summer, and for anything that involves a Channel crossing or a ferry sailing.
If your date is not yet fixed, it is still worth making contact. Knowing a journey is coming is more useful than a precise date.
